I went to the NYRR More Fitness Half Marathon Expo last Saturday not expecting to find the shoes I have been searching for my whole life! As a distance runner and a teacher, I am always on my feet. Finding the right running shoe was easy, but finding the right work and everyday shoe was a lot more difficult. I have tried many different brands, styles, and insoles in hopes of finding “the shoe” always to wind up disappointed. When I saw the Barefooters at the expo I was interested and tried them out. To my surprise they were wonderful. The bed of the shoe gives just enough push back to support my feet without over massaging. After walking around the expo exploring the feel of the shoe, I picked up a pair in black and was ready to give them the ultimate test. Having run the half marathon (plus a few extra miles with a friend) I knew my feet would be screaming. I threw on my barefooters right after stretching and my feet instantly thanked me. It was the magic insoles that broke down my tired and cramped feet leaving me not wanting to cry at the end of the day. I have now been wearing them every day to work and I have been more excited than ever to run after work with my feet no longer stinging from my shoes. I would recommend these shoes to any one of my friend who run or is on their feet a large part of the day.
These are the best shoes i have ever worn. When i was younger i used to be a ballet dancer and my feet have become quite accustomed to punishment. Ive been wearing high heels or stylish soes all my life and flat sneakers only for when im doing sports, errands or hiking, etc. Im a bit of a shoe hoarder with over 40 pairs of fashionable shoes. I loved the hip european sleek look of these shoes and took a chance. i figured i’d toss them into the closet with the other 30 pairs of “comfortable” shoes i never wear but as soon as i took them out of the box everything changed! I no longer punish my feet. I now believe that style and comfort can co-exist in a pair of shoes. I get more compliments on these shoes that i ever got on any other pair of shoes. All the kids in my hipster neighborhood are asking where they can get them. I now know what Im going to buy my friends and family for birthdays and holidays. Comfort and compliments! What more could you want from you shoes?!
